Pastificio Del Colle’s rainbow striped lingua brings a ray of sunshine to your plate, whatever the weather. The wide flat pasta shapes have pretty crimped edges and are coloured with natural dyes including turmeric and paprika. The pasta shape is called ‘lingua di suocera’ in full, which means ‘mother-in-law’s tongue’. Perhaps due to the sharp edges! A great gift for anyone who loves pasta.
Pastificio Del Colle is based in sunny Puglia, and has been making pasta for 100 years. In recent years, Pastificio Del Colle has become known for its beautiful coloured pasta shapes, which are all made using natural dyes. The company uses traditional artisan methods – shaping their pasta with bronze dies, selecting the best durum wheat semolina, and allowing the pasta to dry slowly. The company was started by Vito Nettis in 1920, and is now run by his nephew who is also called Vito Nettis!
Ingredients: Durum wheat semolina, water, spinach (3%), spirulina (3%), paprika (2%), beetroot (2%), turmeric (1%)

The rainbow stripes make this pasta so fun to serve! It cooked perfectly al dente and held the sauce well. A hit with my kids!

I love the vibrant colors, but the taste is just average. It’s a good option for a themed dinner, though.

I was disappointed with the texture—it felt a bit too soft after cooking. The colors are nice, though.

The rainbow stripes are fun, but the pasta itself is nothing special. It’s decent but not worth the premium price.

The pasta is good, but the colors didn’t stand out as much as I expected. Still, it’s a nice product overall.
